What is Solaria technology?

Solaria’s technology is based on UCast’s development of a communication system for residential care centres in Flanders (closed, controlled environment) which allows informal and formal care givers to communicate with the seniors via video-calling, messages and videos sent to their TV.

What is Solaria & how does it work?

Solaria will be derived from the development of this technology and from the transition currently being carried out in Flanders from the closed, controlled environment of a residential care centre, with a dedicated on-premises server, to an open system in the cloud with a multilayer management system, to which various parties can be connected.

What is the Solaria project?

The aim of the Solaria project is to build a platform that connects the television in the seniors’ homes to an app on the smartphone of a family member, taking away the digital stress that other solutions in the market create and allowing daily contacts with family and friends.

What is Solaria & how can it help seniors?

Thanks to the involvement of three user groups from Belgium and Switzerland, Solaria will test the product being developed and define the elements that make life easier and bring a healthier and more connected life to seniors.
