In cooperation with the start-up Africa GreenTec, TESVOLT is supplying lithium storage systems for 50 solar containers with a total capacity of 3 megawatt hours (MWh), enabling a reliable power supply for 25 villages in Mali.

The two Solar Power Center consist of a solar-PV system with a total output of 153 kWp and a 230 kWh battery energy storage system each, which feed into the existing mini-grids. The newly added systems will achieve cost-effective full electrification "24/7" in the villages.

Australian firm Resolute Mining has signed an agreement with Africa-focused power developer Ignite Energy to set up a 40MW hybrid solar, battery and heavy fuel oil (HFO) plant at its Syama Gold Mine in Mali, according to an Australian Stock exchange (ASX) filing. This will replace an existing 28MW diesel-fired power plant at Syama.
