Who is Kyon energy?
Kyon Energy is a developer of battery energy storage systems for the power grid. We offer a full range of services, from securing the site to turnkey commissioning. Our goal is to implement projects quickly, efficiently and taking market conditions into account in order to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability.
Where are Kyon energy & obton's 'control power' projects located?
The two projects were built in Bad Düben and Elsteraue, both in the eastern state of Saxony. Kyon said the projects would provide ‘control power’ to help stabilise the German grid as it moves towards 80% renewable energy by 2030. Kyon Energy, Obton and ECO STOR have commissioned 27.6MW/32.4MWh of battery storage across two sites in Germany.
How many MW does Kyon energy have?
Since its creation in 2021, Kyon Energy has developed 770 MW of projects with very competitive connection costs of which 120 MW are already in operation, 350 MW are under construction and 300 MW are ready to build. In addition, Kyon Energy’s portfolio includes a 2 GW pipeline of advanced-stage projects.
